The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) is launching Words on Fire, a two-day festival to include the 18th Annual DC Poetry Out Loud competition, a poetry slam, and a written poetry contest for District high school students.
CAH is looking for DMV teaching artists with backgrounds in theater, poetry, and related disciplines to conduct workshops for students and prepare them for the Words on Fire festival.
Workshop dates are TBD.
Teaching artists will receive $100 per workshop.
