The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) seeks at least 3 qualified members of the District’s arts and creative economy community with relevant expertise to serve on the DC Cultural Planning Steering Committee.

The DC Cultural Plan was completed in March 2019 by the DC Office of Planning in coordination with CAH and the DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment. The legislation that initiated the Cultural Plan also provided for the establishment of a Cultural Planning Steering Committee to guide the implementation of the Plan’s recommendations. The Committee will meet quarterly, and will be comprised of representatives of various District government agencies and at least three public members to represent DC’s arts and cultural sector, in accordance with the legislation.

If you are interested in serving as one of the Committee’s public members representing DC’s arts and cultural sector, please complete and submit the application below. You must be a DC resident to apply, and if selected, must maintain residency in the District for the duration of your service on the Committee. This is a volunteer, non-paid position.
